About Us
Hi my name is Julie Westemeier. I grew up on a dairy, beef, and hog farm in Cassville, Wisconsin. At a early age, I was responsible for the care and well-being of many of the animals on the farm. After graduation from high school, I attended UW-Platteville where I received a bachelor degree in Animal Science. The job market at that time was for mostly sales for an Animal Science major and I was missing the animals. So I decided to attend MATC and received an Associate degree in Veterinary Technician. I loved the job as a veterinary technician because of the hands on care of the animals. In 1995, several clients were looking for help with their sick pets when they were out of town. So I started my business Paws Away Pet Sitting part-time. Eventually it grew into a full-time job. Now I do something that I love to do, pet sitting full-time and work as a relief technician at Westside Family Pet Clinic.
