Pets are valued members of your family.  We want the best care for them when we cannot be there.  Who do you contact when you need to travel, work a long day, or take a day trip?  A professional pet sitter coming to the home is the perfect solution for you and your pets.  Paws Away Pet Sitting was created just for that need in June 1995.

My name is Julie Westemeier, a professional pet sitter and the owner of Paws Away Pet Sitting.  When I was working as a certified veterinary technician, clients started asking for help with their sick pets when going out of town. I soon realized that there was a dire need for pet sitters in our community.  Ultimately it grew into a full-time job that I continue to enjoy and love to this day.

My background is I grew up on a dairy, beef, and hog farm in Cassville, Wisconsin. At an early age, I would spend hours outside playing and taking care of the animals. As I got older, I was responsible for the milking operation, well-being, and medical care of the animals.  My education is I graduated from UW-Platteville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science.   I  also completed the veterinary technician program at Madison Area Technical College.
